Small business operators across the Upper Hunter electorate impacted by the COVID-19 lockdown are being invited to take part in a virtual support forum.
Upper Hunter Nationals MP Dave Layzell will host the online event, to be attended by Finance and Small Business Minister Damien Tudehope and NSW Small Business Commissioner Chris Lamont.
“I have been speaking with small business in my electorate and heard the stories of how the past five weeks have stretched their financial resources and I want to help them access the NSW Government assistance that is available,” Mr Layzell said.
“Business chambers and chambers of commerce have been invited to participate and I encourage their members and all other business operators requiring assistance to be part of this virtual gathering.”
The NSW Nationals in the state government have implemented several types of financial support to help businesses across the state as part of the COVID-19 support package, which the forum will outline, while the Small Business Commissioner will focus on the role and services available through the NSW Small Business Commission.
The forum is being held on Thursday, September 16 from 6pm for approximately one hour.

A Service NSW representative will be available to answer questions.
Written questions are encouraged, especially from people who have encountered challenges accessing state government assistance.
Questions should be emailed to Mr Layzell’s office ahead of the meeting on upperhunter@parliament.nsw.gov.au
