Perth broker Euroz Hartleys has promoted its head of institutional sales Tim Bunney to managing director, replacing Rob Black.

Mr Bunney joined Euroz Hartleys Securities in 2010 and was made a director in 2017. He currently leads the company’s institutional department.

He replaces Rob Black, who has served as managing director of the group’s broking arm since 2013.

Mr Black will be appointed head of equity capital markets syndication while retaining his role as an institutional sales adviser and his directorship positions on the Euroz Hartleys and Euroz Hartleys group boards.

Euroz Hartleys chair Andrew McKenzie thanked Mr Black for his contribution to the business.

“He [Mr Black] has played, and will continue to play, an important role in the strategic direction of our business and he remains an integral member of our executive team,” Mr McKenzie said in a statement.

“We look forward to his ongoing contribution as a Director of Euroz Hartleys Limited and Euroz Hartleys Group Limited.”

Euroz Hartleys is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the broader Euroz Hartleys Group.

Euroz Hartleys Group shares closed the day up 1.26 per cent to trade at $1.61.
